Clark Fork River Wedding | Montana Wedding Photographer

When you don’t need a venue because your family has the best property along the river, you have an epic wedding outside. But…it’s also Montana. You decide to rent the big tent. You are glad that you did.

This wedding was nothing short of wonderful. The rain came and went before the wedding and during the ceremony rushing things a little. But the rain also brought, great lighting, a rainbow and some amazing natural fireworks. Nothing could have been better for this couple.

Jamin & Nikole

Jamin and I met through mutual friends. I quickly fell in love with his gold retriever, Shiloh. Although, it didn't take long for me to fall for Jamin after a few of his home cooked meals. He always says he knew I was the one after I lasted an entire hunting season without breaking up with him (apparently I was the first). After dating long-distance for a couple years, I accepted a job in Deer Lodge and moved in.

I was not so patiently waiting for an engagement ring throughout the fall and winter of 2020 when Jamin and a group of our close friends planned a day trip to go Christmas tree hunting. I was suspicious that something might be going on, but was oblivious when we started looking for trees that everyone was waiting for me to pick one first. After wandering around for awhile, I could tell Jamin was getting frustrated and finally said "Nikole, just pick one". So I did pick one, that just happened to be in the worst possible spot down a hill. He dragged me down there and started to put his saw together, when I turned around he was on one knee (or up to his knees in the snow maybe?) and said "do you want to marry me?". I of course said yes and now a year and a half later, I finally get to marry the love of my life. I can't help but feel like I am the lucky one.
