A Backyard Brunch & Water Gun Fight Wedding | Helena Wedding Photographer

First off, you did read that title correctly. They did in fact have a water gun fight at their wedding during their reception. If you were to get to know Jasyn, you’d know that she doesn’t like doing things the same way as everyone else. She likes to be different and to stand out. You may have seen their engagement session a few months back and read how she planned a surprise wedding for Cole. That’s right. He wasn’t even supposed to know about his wedding.

Here is a little refresher and then how it went down.

Jasyn & Cole

We met through social media, then Cole made me dinner one night and it felt like we already knew one another. I asked him to estimate painting my company’s office building, and he did not get the bid. I was asked to do it instead, but he still came to do the work. He says it was only to spend more time with me.

We continued to spend time together and discovered we both have a love for many of the same things. Travel being one of our favorite things to do, we decided to start going anywhere and doing anything that presented itself to us. The more we both said yes to adventure together, the more in love we fell. Eventually, every day was an adventure and we decided it was time to come home to each other everyday and live together. Soon Cole decided he didn’t want to do life with anyone else and he popped the question at the top of mount Helena.

We wanted to be married as soon as possible, but our plans were shortly detoured. That much time together grew our love into a little person who is now our sweet daughter. She has been our greatest adventure yet! I attempted to surprise Cole with a wedding, but those beans were spilled. And thank goodness, he says he’s so glad he gets to prepare his mind, heart and soul “for the rest of his life, as well as the best of his life”. I get to be the luckiest woman in the world and call him my husband!
